On Wednesday the 9th of October the students arrived in Mal Pas to stay at the Prinsotel. In the evening they were invited to a welcome drinks party at Casa Teresa. The following day we started the classes by sitting on the beautiful sunny terrace and introducing ourselves. Jane, Pete, Rose and Ken were all a bit hesitant but managed to talk a little bit about themselves. Three days later we did the same thing but I had asked them to talk about what they had done the previous afternoon. The difference was dramatic, they all spoke fluently and happily.
The course was over 5 days with with two hours in the morning and afternoons free. The students were able to go to the beautiful beaches in Mal Pas, visit the market on Sunday in Alcudia and go for walks to Bacares. Pete was very keen to explore the flora and fauna. Jane and her husband Ian who are keen walkers, walked all the way up the mountain to La Victoria. Ken and Rose chilled on the beach and introduced me to Margaritas! Each evening the students found a different place to have dinner and to practice their Spanish.
The course was a resounding success and I am definitely planning to do it again possibly in May and October 2025.
