El Pinar students from Madrid receiving their certificates

In March Julia was teaching English to students from a school in Madrid at Antler Languages in Oundle. Penny Burgess the director of the academy had planned a course of tuition and afternoon fun activities for the students. They also had a day in Cambridge and a day in London.

On the first day Julia and her sister Valerie prepared an English tea to welcome the students, their host families and teachers from Madrid. The scones proved very popular and were made by Julia and Valerie’s mother Barbara.

It was a great team effort and the group are looking forward to returning next year.
